“find us waiting on you someday when you get home & so is Mother”
Per Cousin Joe Courtney: “Mother”: Catherine McGrory, our grandmother, my father’s mother, would never have moved to New York, she was pretty much a recluse in the house. The only place she ever went was across the street to the church for daily mass. She sent the kids out to do the errands and shopping. Her daughter, Bridget, lived less than a block away and it was a very special and rare occurrence if Catherine visited Bridget.
