family are all in the best of health she is working in a motor works & she thinks that it is grand

            I am sorry that I never said in any of my letters that I had received the cigs & I want to thank you very much but I am afraid, Ann, that anything like cigs. That carry tax are not even allowed to anyone in the forces free of tax, so I want to thank you for your good intentions but it wouldn’t satisfy them by paying the tax again
